The exhibits are amazingly varied and marvelously approachable and "user friendly".

This is rapidly becoming one of the most popular shows exhibitions that 1078 has ever mounted with people literally walking in off the street to interact with the individual works. . . .

Another popular work in the whow, especially with the children, is "Too Lips," a sculpture by Dan Senn of Tacoma, Wash. This consists of about 15 metal "flowers" that "grow" from the floor of the gallery. Their "stems" are made from grooved metal rods that have been bent into slightly undulating shapes, "rooted" to the floor with a variety of metal objects including, in one case, another cooking pot, but one with a handle.

The "heads" of the flowers are a variety of metal objects, as well. One, for example, is a small heart shaped tart pan with fluted edges. In between the "heads" and the "roots" metal washers are fitted loosely and can be drawn to the top of the "stems" to fall to the "roots" with hissing, silvery noise. This particular work is visually lovely, too.
