Dan Senn lead off the series with a concert of his own music. While likening his improvisationsal performance to cooking, the artist smoothly sliced, diced, and blended percussion into a sonic tossed salad. The concert was visually enhanced by the crunchy, sculptural qualities of his hand-made, found object instruments. As a finale, Senn handed these to the audience, asking us to complete the composition. This was a beautiful touch, and the communal participation prevailed though our exploratory potluck of sounds.
