Scrapercussion #7 by Dan Senn

Resonant scrap connected along a continuum of 3/16"; steel rod which travels through
a pvc chassis for support. May be played with mallets, audience-tossed coins, or as a
feedback source. Often used in audience participation pieces. Presented on a mobile
pedestal for use as a "dance partner". Main sound source for a 1989 recording called
Scrapercussion Improvisations by Dan Senn. Described in detail in "Systems
Non-Linear Instruments and Notation", Journal of New Music Research,
September, Amsterdam, Holland, 1994. Currently part of the
Sylvia Smith Archives at the University of Akron, Ohio.
