Made from found metal resonators, 3/16-inch threaded rod, pvc, pine dowels, nylon line, piezo microhones and washers.
Instrument is played by releasing washers (moths) which cascade (flutter) downward over threaded rod (harpoons).
Resonators may be played with mallets. Sounds generated by fluttering moths are colored by metal resonators.
Instrument is presented in standing installations nd as part of live pieces where the instrument acts as its own score.
