An installation of kinetic sculptural instruments and video. The instruments are set in motion using sub-audio pulses, in the 0 to 9 hz range, over modified speakers called "pumps." One set of instruments alternatively strikes the floor and found metal resonators; another shakes corn in plastic bottles; and another rattles thin pine dowels within tuned clear tubes all of which is controlled from a score consisting of subaudio frequencies. Projected with the installation are video fragments of a Klu Klux Klan rally in Enumclaw, WA, a farmer's market in Watertown, WI, and a New Orleans-like parade in Seattle, WA. The installation is continuous and fully automated.
