(2023)
was filmed on August 12, 2023 in Holešovice, Prague, on a street named
Stupkova near Holešovická tržnice (markets). The sound track was developed from Lycon
35 and Lycon
52, two of 64
sound translations of the I Ching into sound. The subject matter is
comprised of building vents, a gas (PLYN) plate and pedestrians walking
through the image field while shooting. * Listen with

Venting... has no
meaning other than wordless poetry can be produced from most
things. For it to be fully
appreciated, the work must be seen-heard as tightly integrated intermedia gestures used to fully inflate its rhythmic anatomy—like dance with music. These visual gestures move independently or are tightly bound with the sound forming a continuum of possibilities triggering/ignoring actions in the opposing medium—a complex, life mirroring algorithm of exchanged impetus. Dan
Senn (Prague-Watertown) is an
intermedia artist working in music composition and production, kinetic
sound sculpture, experimental and documentary film. He has been a
professor of music and art in the United States and Australia and
travels internationally as a lecturer, performer and installation
artist. He lives in Prague where he directs the Echofluxx festivals,
and Watertown, Wisconsin, the USA. Dan's work moves freely between
expressive extremes and
languages depending upon the aesthetic joust at hand. Dan is cofounder
of Roulette
Intermedium in New York City, Cascadia Composers of
Portland Oregon, and the Echofluxx media
