La Bohéme written in the Spring of 2010 in
Prague, The Czech Republic. It is a work is of extreme emotions and textures
in 4
sections, each of which presents the same basic tonal material within
drastically different
contexts. The vast majority
of the
pitch material was taken from
two symmetrical phrases in Salvatore Martirano’s “Cocktail Music” for solo piano.
