aMaize is one of two studies (see Leeks) videotaped in September of 1999 in the vegetable garden just outside Shy Anne Studio in Tacoma, Washington. The concept was to establish a sequence of stationary frames, with some attention to mapping most of the available sweet corn, and then let the wind driven objects pass through the frame.

This version of the piece is accompanied by the sound of my lyde instruments and was used in the "Waves of Grain" installation presented at the Wittener Tage für neue Kammermusik, Witten, Germany in May of 2003. The piece is continuously looped for the installation.
