Strutt 2023 by Dan Senn |
_ : - | . + for Fixed Stereo 10 minutes and 15 seconds |

Strutt was realised on December 7,
2023 at Gasworks Studio in Holešovice,
Prague, Czechia, 80 years after the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor. It was improvised live with Dan Senn performing a Behringer K2 Synthesizer, a clone of a Korg MS-20 synthesizer, and
is for stereo fixed media. This
Korg was issued in 1978 and first used by Senn to compose Lilly Lane in his Jefferson
Street Studio, Chicago, an early venue for Roulette Intermedium now in
Brooklyn, NY. The above banner is a detail from a chunk of bricks sledged from the side of the composer's home in Watertown, WI in preparation for a studio addition, Senn wheeling the hammer. These bricks were likely put in place in 1850 or, perhaps, thirty years later, and used here, the long hidden backside, because of the strutting man pictured as trapped in mortar for nearly 175 years. He is now released. This banner was also used for Echofluxx 21. |
The playback setup should include two
large speakers with 12" or larger woofers plus a subwoofer. Listen to Strutt using headphones. |
